Our men's shorts are designed with specific activities in mind, categorized as either Running, Training, or Recreation. Our Training shorts are designed to be versatile for all training styles with lightweight and breathable fabrics for all-day comfort, and lengths ranging from 5-inch inseams to 7-inch inseams. Our Running shorts prioritize freedom of motion for high-movement activities with shorter inseams and innovative storage solutions. Our Recreation shorts are designed for everyday use and low-intensity activities, prioritizing comfort and durability.
What is the ideal length for gym and training shorts?
ASRV's men's athletic shorts are designed in various lengths, catering to different activities and preferences. Our 5-inch inseam shorts are our most popular length because a 5-inch inseam is ideal for all training styles, from running to gym training and HIIT. Our 7-inch inseam shorts are also popular, providing a little more coverage on the legs for gym training. Our 3-inch inseam shorts offer the least coverage for maximum freedom of movement and are typically used for running.
Are shorts with liners or without liners better for training?
ASRV's men's athletic shorts come in liner and linerless options. What you choose will come down to personal preference. Our built-in liners are designed to provide a second-skin feel with added performance benefits. We use advanced fabric technologies that provide sweat-wicking and anti-odor function for extra comfort against the skin. Most of our liners offer drop-in phone pockets for bounce-free, out-of-the-way media storage while training and running. Our linerless shorts options can be layered over leggings, compression shorts, or worn alone for a more relaxed feeling.
What is the difference between your fabrics?
Our men's shorts come in several different fabric options. Tetra-Lite® is our most popular range, with extreme stretch and durability for all types of training. Silver-Lite™ is our signature mesh, offering a more lightweight option for high-intensity activities. Ultralite™ provides the perfect balance of lightness and durability, with a subtle ripstop texture and a silky handfeel. Tech-Terry™ is our incredibly soft technical cotton blend with four-way stretch that is ideal for everyday comfort.
What is fabric technology and why is it important for athletic shorts?
Our men's athletic shorts are built with industry-leading fabric technologies that enhance performance, comfort, and durability. Most of our shorts are treated with Polygiene® antimicrobial technology, which actively kills odor-causing bacteria so your training gear smells fresh all day. All of our performance shorts are sweat-wicking to pull moisture away from your body while you train.
Do ASRV shorts have added features like phone pockets and shirt loops?
Our men's athletic shorts are known and recognized for their intuitive, functional features that cater to the active lifestyle. Zip pockets, shirt loops, reflective strips, and mesh panels are included based on the intended use of each short. Our iconic 5-inch liner shorts and 7-inch liner shorts offer our complete array of gym features, including two drop-in phone pockets on the liner, a zip pocket for secure storage, and a utility loop for a shirt or towel.
